What is an LCYAC Ambassador?
- LCYAC Youth Ambassadors are high school students from six Latah County school districts.
- These individuals have pledged to abstain from illegal substances and participation in other risky behaviors.
- Our program promotes healthy attitudes, positive choices, leadership enhancement and service to our communities.
- Many of our ambassadors hold leadership positions in school activities: BPA, FFA, 4-H, FCCLA, and National Honors Society Chapters. They also participate in sports at the school and state level. Others are involved in art, music and dance.
- Our Ambassadors are active in their Idaho Drug Free Youth School Chapters (iDFY) and attend summits, leadership retreats and trainings. iDFY encourages students to build state-wide friendships and provide peer support to live drug-free lives.
- LCYAC Youth Ambassadors act as positive role models for their peers by showing them that they can have fun, happy successful lives without drugs and alcohol.
- LCYAC Youth Ambassadors have gone on to serve their country in the military, become successful in college and continue advocacy work into adulthood.
